Every day, I bill my customers some amount of my time because I answered questions that are in my software’s documentation, or Google, or in the email I sent the last time the person asked.
And that is ok if we both understand that is what is happening. In this instance, I am a credible source, and I know what I am doing. Faster is better in this case.
But, what about the people we vote for?
Or, what the Bible says?
Or how economics work?
Or what the results of polls and surveys tell us?
Faster is rarely better. We spend more time planning vacations than we do in making decisions which will determine our future.
We are too willing to go with what the “experts” spoon feed us.
Let’s dig for more information than the “experts” are willing to give us.
Especially when the results will be life changing.
