Just for fun. My Journey to Become the Most Interesting Man in the World.

Heart and Tongue

It seems like the world could use a lot less inflammatory language and maybe think about how we word things right now.

Here’s what I mean:

tollSome time ago, we used one of the Illinois toll roads a couple of times, and I couldn’t help but notice how harsh the signage spoke to those who miss the tolls.”You have seven (7) days to pay a missed toll.”

Texas signs read something like: “No toll tag, No problem, we’ll bill you.”

Both result in me sending in some money, but in the first one, I am being addressed like a criminal. In the second, I am being addressed as a paying customer.

But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. – Matthew 15:18
