Sometimes the world just feels…loud.
Driving, scrolling, even standing in line at the store. It’s easy to get worn down by selfishness, rudeness, or even hate.
But 1 John 2:11 reminds us: when hatred gets a foothold, we step into darkness. And honestly, most of the outrage we see online is designed to profit from keeping us angry.
So maybe today, take a breath.
Step back from the noise.
We could ask God to help the “loudness” of the world become the very thing that grows patience in you (James 1:2-3).
See the person in front of you not as an enemy, but as a soul loved by God.
We can’t stop the world from stirring up hate, but we can choose not to carry it in our own hearts. That’s how we stay in the light.
It might even be the way we influence the world!
